I need help with my swapped crx
ok so i have a 91 crx i swapped it to OBD-0 b16a running a pr3 ecu. everything stock. so i bumped the valve train up to all stage 3 skunk 2 pro ****. cams, cam gears, valves, retainners, springs and clips. no work was done to the head its self other then cleaned up. so i got it all back together and my rev limiter would kick in at 7,200 rpm's not the full 8,200 rpm's. and main prob is that when vtec would kick in it would flutter in and out of vtec. so we checked all the wiring and stuff its all good. i had a vafc at this time to. but we took it all out and wired it back stock and still did the fluttering ****. by this piont ima gettin mad so i said **** on it i'll just go with the OBD-1 set up. got all my good for that with a new ecu with hondataS300 got it all in and everything worked like it should, but the VTEC !!! it is still doing the fluttering **** when vtec kicks in. only now it flutters in and out. i did see that if i easied into it(gas) i didn't do it. but if i got all up on 1st gear it didn't do it but then banggin 2nd. gear was when it did. as of now i am waiting on my wide band but is there anything that any1 might be able to throw at me on this ? i even tried my buddies ecu with his hondatas300 and still done it. plz help me someone

Also, when you say"Flutter" is it a hesitation feeling??
Any check engine lights? </TD></TR></TABLE>
well sometime it does and some times it does but it will fluter like it is a vtec rev. or some ****. if i easy out of it and right back into it agian it will come out of it and work like it should tell u hit the next gear and same ****.
i have done all the cleaning of everything, triple checked the oil level ( fine ) and let it warm up to temp for and hour and it will still do this.
PS. and on the engine light ? none on the gauge and even having it pluged into lap top for S300 it is still not throwing no codes
.

Out of spec timing using does this at high RPM's!
Check those cam gears and ignition timing...use a timing light!

well i know it is timed right. and i have changed out the solenoid with 2 others and pressure switch as well. proper current in all wiring. doesn't seem to do it as much sence i converted over to OBD-1 and put Hondata S-300 in it. just waitin on wideband to come in to see if it is running rich or lean on me. thx for all the advive guys. ui will keep tring all of them.
