ok you guys talked me into it. how bout a b20 block(don't know which one yet) bored over with lightened crank, high compression pistons and rods with a gsr head ported and polished and a badass valvetrain setup? i need to know what exactly to get, to achive my goal of a badass CRVTEC swap. TURBO IS IFFY RIGHT NOW. Thanks

Go find a local machine shop and tell them what you want and get them to do it for you.

Honestly it's a lot easier than us telling you which seal, which bearing, which piston, etc.

EVERYONE has different tastes for different companies versus what you might have in your wallet. You need to do way more research and searching before coming to us with such a broad question. Honestly, go see your local engine builder and get him to peice it together if all you want is someone to hold your hand and tell you what to buy to be an UBBER BAD-A$$ Honda l33t driver yo!

I think what Rikter was trying to say is that there are so many ways go build up a B20/Vtec that it wouldnt be practical for us to tell what route to go.

I think a b20/vtec engine, when built correctly, is a great set up. I plan to do that myself.

Check out the all motor forums and do a little bit of searching. I was able to get a pretty solid plan for my b20 build without starting a new thread. I just read up on what others have did and their mistakes.

One key thing I learned: 84.5mm overbore is advisable. 85mm is pushing it. Anything bigger than 85 is going to be an accident waiting to happen.

 

you should just build it and tune it how you would like it to be because it is your own project. i really have no respect for b20v's i think they're overrated. ran enough of em in my day

 

I do not suggest you do a b20 vtec swap with your knowledge.
