Basically if built right it will be like any motor, it all depends on how its put together and how you drive it. Since it is an LS bottom end you need to be careful of your revs. Reving to 9k all day would turd the motor.
I have been pushing my lsvtec setup for about 3 years now and it has not given me any major problems. I beat on it everytime I drive it which is a few times a week.
Hope that helps

if you have the option of getting a gsr, why would you get an lsvtec? All that is, is a LS block with a gsr head... the gsr is already the better engine of the two. stick with the gsr, plus you dont have to go through all the work to try and make it fast..
