are eg and ek springs the same
just want to lower my car, saw some eg springs will they fit my ek
would i have to buy or upgrade my shocks for the springs(2-2.5" drop)

same - no.
fit - yes
but the drop may be slightly lower than the rating due to your car weight. It will be minimal.
with that drop stock shock will not only suck for ride quality, they will not last long.

idk if ek an eg springs are interchangable
but if your gonna drop it that much you should def. invest in some aftermarket shocks

here comes the arguements but ill put in my two cents. if your struts are in good shape you dont need to replace them. ive been driving in stock struts with a 1.75 inch drop for 3 years and no problems. rides great.

You can get aftermarket shocks if you'd like. If you're only going to daily-drive the car, might as well rock your stock shocks until they blow. At that point, you can consider your budget and make a decision from there. It's not like stock shocks are inadequate for handling duties - they just don't have the range and valving (response) that most people look for in an aftermarket suspension setup.

good info, thats what ill do , just drive on factory shocks with lowering springs, what spring rate would be best for driving on stock shocks or it does it matter, i want a soft ride approx 2-2.5" drop and handling is not an issue, just my dd, my real car is being built for the street
