i thought poormans type r's consisted of a gsr block, b16 head with itr internals

that's a lsvtec you're thinking.

poor man's type r (CTR or ITR) consist of the b18c1 head on b16 block or b16 head on b18c1 block with b16/itr pistons.

A poor mans type r is a B16 or ITR head on a B18c1 Block, using ITR pistons and ITR internals.

A B16a Block with a B18c1 head is .... nothing really. Just a pieced together B16a with a smaller combustion chamber.....

GSR block b18c1 mated with a B16 (pr3) head...

would be great to slap some b16 pistons ..so you can have almost a 12:1 CR...

the LS and B20 blocks with any Vtec head its called "frankestien motors"
not plug and play...head needs to be tapped to accept the NON Vtec block..

Hey bro a poorman's is the other way around, GSR bottom with P73 pistons, and ITR crank, and B16 head with ITR cam's.
