Default brakes mushy after clutch/flywheel install

Well I pulled the tranny recently and installed my new clutch and flywheel. After installed i realized that the brakes were mushy so whenever i take a LEFT turn i hear a scraping sound as is something is rubbing slightly on the brake rotor. Im going to bleed the brakes tomorrow but i was wondering if this is a seperate problem non relating to my clutch install. I inspected the rotor today also. The only thing that could come in contact with the rotor is the iron bracket thing where the brake pads lie.

Are the brake systems on integras powered in anyway by the tranny? The brakes were working completely fine before the install.

thanks in advanced

Okay im thinking these are your 2 problems.

1. Spongy Brake Pedal = Bleed Your Brakes
2. Scraping Sound Rotor = Rotor Dust Shield (Don't Know Correct Term) But it's the shield that goes around your entire rotor. It gets bent, and then while driving it rubs against the rotor. I had the problem b4 on my old integra, i just bent it back out and problem solved.

Does the dust shield effect both sides of the rotor. I can visibily see damage on the outside. Im taking the car into the class shop tomorrow either way.

--- The shield is only on the inner side of the car. So i wouldn't think it would effect the outer rotor.

tranmission should have nothing to do with it. Brake booster, Prop valve, brake lines, type of DOT brake fluid, maybe something else minute.
