are LS and GSR ignition coil and ignitors the same? My car's not starting, and instead of going out to spend 200 dollars in parts, I want to swap in the LS dizzy internals to see if it will work. I did a search, but only came up with gsr, si, itr, prelude, and F22 internals.. nothing on LS.

what do you mean by supercede each other?

99 gsr:

30510-P73-A02 COIL ASSY., IGNITION
30100-P73-A02 DISTRIBUTOR ASSY. (TC-08A) (TEC)

NOTE: the 2 dizzy housing I have do not look identical, but the coil does. the ignitor looks to be a different color, but physically looks similar in dimension and shape.

 

should I order gsr ignition coil or try the LS ones?
