ITR motor, fwd of course. I'm really not sure why they've been plagued with so many engine problems. Compared to them, my problems seem mild.

Because it's a new car. Something that "hybridized" is gonna require some tuning/engineering for its first season. It's quick already, but once it's totally dialed-in, watch out Yack!

Not necessarily "of course", since it was available with real-time 4WD...

"Of course" is what I'm thinking, unless you know of a way to mate a B18C5 to that transmission.

I say fwd of course because there's no way that tranny could handle that much power, even if you could finagle a way to attach it.

Bubble gum and zip ties only go so far, which reminds me, I better reload my supplies.

Well let's see....
CMP.....Friday practice...wrong axle seals and broken axle.....drove two hours to solve problem...got 1 lap and first lap on car.
CMP....Saturday.....car ran well....brakes were horrible despite large wilwood setup....discovered limited slip is broken in the morning. We ran the first race and did well, had vapor lock and missed the HC race.
CMP.....Sunday.....car ran well again...had vapor lock again and fuel pickup issues.

Summit Point
Friday Practice...changed pads....brakes worked well. Installed new transmission and limited slip before the weekend. Those worked well. New head for the 3rd time, this time with a different setup. The heat led to some drivability issues. Friday night we changed plugs, cap, rotor. The car was not making power above 7k rpm. Got drunk, played frisbee and called it a night.
Saturday Morning....Feeling refreshed after many beers, get into car and find that car does not want to shift gears. We get about 5 laps and pull in. Take car apart, pressure plate exploded. Drive to Winchester, purchase clutch, come back to track. Clutch does not fit. Drive to Warrenton, get clutch. Car is put back together at 2am.
Sunday Morning...Car shifts well, makes power for about 5 laps. Car dies inside Turn 5. We discover that distributor exploded. Many thanks to Todd Reid for lending spare distributors and eventually to Alex Radcliffe for lending his distributor so we can race.
Race time, we start 21st...We make it to 10th by the end of Turn 1. Electrical problems continued to plague us through the race before we pitted in on lap 11.

Thank you to everyone who helped. We will be back at CMP in August ready to run.

Eric, H1 Wagon.

Incidentally, that is NOT the only Civic Wagon that has gone out on a racetrack. So did this one:

Probably because people would ask this question

Seriously, it is one of the most interesting race cars many of us have ever seen. And it's damn entertaining watching a Honda wagon walk down a Porsche.

IIRC, Eric was peer-pressured into it. He briefly mentioned the wagon here as a possible H-C car, and most of us said, "Build the wagon! Build the wagon!"
