is my motor pinging?
originally there was this rattling noise from the timing belt side, and the timing belt seemed to vibrate everytime this happened, it would happen when i accelerated from 1 to 2.5k and everytime the revs came down it would have a rattling noise also. so i changed the oil pump, water pump, and timing belt, and while the noise is almost gone there is still a little bit of rattling and the timing belt is still vibrating a little bit when the revs came down, but not close to what it was before, should i be worried about this and is this pinging?
If you hear the SAME EXACT noise during acceleration AND deceleration, it is not detonation, ping, spark knock, etc.
It kinda sounds like your timing belt is slapping the timing covers. Id try and re-adjust your t-belt. Then rotate the engine and re-tention as the slack works its way out.
See if the noise goes away..
