Has anyone seen or done. Painting Si rims from silver to white?

 

yes its been done. there are soem threads in the AC section about painting them. here are a couple pix i have.

I dont have a picture of a white one on a car but here is a picture of a rim painted white:


also have a picture of them done up time attack style.

That red EM1 was very nice! I remember from two or so years ago, long before time attacks were even a thought in someone's head.

That may be, but the Mugen RNR's had it before he did.

ya i noticed that so i just scanned the list of titles looking for si. took me about thirty seconds. but i also knew there were a couple threads on it

HA! But, now you see everyone and their mom doing this. Back then, no one was duplicating it.

I'm with you there, bud. I think it's fad-tastic, and quite annoying. Do they look alright? I guess, but it's not something I'm pining over.

 

Guys i would love to have the money to spend on a set of desmonds... but thats just not gona happen so im torn between painting my si's white or buying some white rota slips...unless ony of you want to sell me some cool and not so expensive rims? :

 

i'd sell the si 's and get something else in my humble opinion

 

Im seriously considering getting white 15 rota slips.

 

i think rotas especially rota slips are way over played so i would look into something different but hey go for whatever fits your tastes and budget

 

don't paint the Si rims.

btw what colour is your car?

 

Its Rallye Red. I dont mean to copy but i really like the way freddy's car looks with the white desmonds...since i cant afford them i thought id get the knock offs. I also thought about rota grids (copy of Volk TE-37's) but i really like the look of white on red.

 

i love TE-37s

 

And the main problem again is lack of funds. Manual Swap is way higher on my to get list above rims so im stayin with the si's for now.

 

i love the si wheels and the black and red is sweet!
