i wanted to know if it was possible to let the fan stay on after the car had been turned off. i have a friend with an old jetta and after he turns the car off if its hot the fan will stay on till it cooles down? is that just a simple relay or something of the sort? any info? thanks!

 

i have a honda prelude 92 si. and when my car would get hot (was short on coolant water pump was going out) it would leave the fans on for about 5 mins after the car was off. its for protection if thats happening you should get your radiator checkout and make sure your water pump is good. not leaking any water out.
