Default exhaust manifold flange

when building headers / and or turbo manifolds how do you get the pipes coming off of the flange to the oval shape of the flange ? do you heat it up and pound it in to shape or ??? kinda interested in how this is done . heres a pic if you dont know what i mean

Depends if im making a turbo manifold or a header.

The header flanges I get them oval, and I pinch the pipe to slide in the flange. Weld it inside and out.

For the turbo manifolds, I get the flange that is round on the outside and oval on the inside.

i just squeeze it in a vice. works fine, and you only have to pay $20 for a flange normally priced at $55.
