climate control lights????

climate control lights????
ever since i got my civic the lights for the climate control never light up when they are suppose to. Its either they light up when I start banging on the dash like a mad man or once in a while they light up for a little while and then poof gone.... any help would be greatly appreciated. I notice this also happened in my DC2 
) ones. It will help you in taking them out.

a common problem. both my 95 and 97 do this. and im too lazy to fix them so i always beat on my dash till they light up, which lasts like 2.3 seconds. im sure its just a bad connection.

by a bad connection do you guys mean like the way the bulbs are seated in the connectors or bad connection in some wiring in the dash?
