I'm very close to beginning my H22 and manual swap. I'm sure this is very common to all cars but the pedals I plan on using have that light coat of rust on them. I'm very picky when it comes to thing like this so I was considering soaking them in a bucket of Evapo-Rust. I was just making sure this wouldn't hurt anything as long as I remove the sensors.

Basically just a neutral PH rust remover solution. A lot of people use it to soak rusted cylinder heads and tools. I was putting up truck today at work and decided to read the bottle. You just soak the part in it and it dissolves the rust. Rinse it with water and dip it again then let it air dry. I'm just curious if anyone has used it.
Oh, that's interesting...I have not heard of it myself. I'd think if you removed all the sensors and rubber/plastic parts it would be fine.

You could remove them and probably get rid of some more rust hidden under them.
