Default Cutting Slotted Rotors

Well this isnt a debate on Brembo blanks vs slotted, crossdrilled or whatever else. I have always been told "You can not cut crossdrilled or slotted rotors". I have never cut any of those types of rotors myself so I cant speak from experience either. The car has been sitting for awhile and the rotors are pitted. I figured I would try cutting them before getting new ones altogether. Anyone ?

make sure the thickness is within spec after you cut them and then chamfer the holes if they are cross drilled or clean up the sharp edge if they are slotted. its not magical, you just dont want any sharp edges.

I had mine cut with no problems. They were fairly true, they didn't need much taken off, so the chamfer and thickness was still fine.

yea, i cut my power-stop drilled rotors, and they work good with no problems, just be careful about how much you are taking off and you'll be fine

I did cut slotted rotors before without any problems on their performance. Just keep it within the specs.
