Should I rebuild the engine first before i get a turbo kit or just go on ahead and boost my 98 integra ls?

 

theres is little to no information that are providing. like miles? does your motor even run good? have you done a compression test? and how much power you are looking to make. many members here have gone turbo on stock internals with great results.

search before you ask anything else.

 

not enoug info..but a simple answer is:
if the funda re there, do it. it isn't gonna hurt you any if it isn't needed

 

i would definitely rebuild it before turbo. better for the motor and boostable at higher level. i'm planning on that when ever i get get the money.

 

Do a compression and leakdown. If the engine is healthy as is, there's no reason to dump money into it for no reason. What are your power goals??

 

what kind of engine are you thinking of boosting? if its not a vtec, i would definitely reccomend swapping first... instead of rebuilding and boosting. YOu aren't going to get anything close to teh power you would pull from a vtec... either an ls-vtec or a type r motor
