Im New Here
Hey, I'm new here. The only thing that you have to know is that I do not own a Honda. In my extended family there are a couple tho. I am here, just to get more information about DOHC engines and modifications that should be done to them to squeeze as much power as you can out of them. I am also here to help my friends in school with their civics (some of them have no idea what they are talking about)
No please do not think that I am new to cars or such, I am a big fan of Chevy's, and I do not show it, but I do like Hondas to an extent. I am part of a Chevy truck forum, but no one on there owns a similar vehicle to mine. they all have eight cyinders, and their attitude if geared more towards trucks and their engines, I am sort of left out. I would like to be part of this forum, so that at least someone will understand where I am coming from, why I have certain Ideas.
I own a 1999 chevy Tracker. It is th two door convertiable model. It has alot done to it, and I will continue modding it, until I can not any longer. (That will be impossiable.) It is rear wheel drive, and does not have four wheel drive. The previouse owner got every upgrade except for four wheel drive and ABS, but I dont mind, I took it and made it my own. So far I have put on a Hard Top, SPS intake with K&N filter, High Flow Cat, Wrapped the headers with DEI Wrap, also the Tailpipe to try to fix a problem. I also have a Flowmaster Muffler with a Mufflex-Performance cat back system. I am running Bridgestone Insginia tires with stock rims. I have grounded out the engine and I have installed Bosh Platinum IR Spark Plugs. Also ther is a new tranny cooler in series. The sound system has been upgraded with JBL two and three way speakers and a Rockford Fosgate P1 Sub, in a custom box powered by an Alpine Amp, and a Panasonic Head unit. It has the Ipod adapter, and an Aux input. It has also been lowered, a little over two inches, it has H&R coils, and KYB GR2 Shocks and struts. Well thats most of my modifications to my vehicle, I have more, but that'l give you the idea. I am trying to keep it a sleeper as much as I can.
I hope that I will be allowed to post here, for that I think that I will fit in better here.
Thanks,
Dan
