Default Clearcoat peeling on Regamasters?

Guys, I have a problem. It appears that the clearcoat is coming off of my regamasters. The stickers are peeling in areas and I think it's related. Is there a way to fix this without having them all refinished?

Man that sucks, I don't think there is a way to fix it without refinishing them. This right here is the reason why pressure washer car washes don't touch my wheels. I wax them often also.

Those things haven't seen a pressure washer, just the end of a regular hose nozzle. I didn't notice the problem when I took them off the car in october, I just noticed it the other day.

That's wierd man, take them to a wheel repair place and see if they can do anything. They can work magic with things sometimes.

Yea good call, I'm not too worried about the sticker on the front, but I would like to keep the authenticity sticker on the back.

I'd have to scuff them off enough to get all the clear off though wouldn't I?

thats mest. This is only an idea... but it MIGHT work. You could try masking around the area where the clear coat flaked and then spray a few new layers of clear. After that drys then maybe sand it with 1500 grit or wet sand it so it matches. Its only an idea, but its something to consider.

Yea, thats not a bad idea, it might just be worth re-clearing the whole lip, it seems like the problem is around the outside and not on any of the spokes.

Yikes, what did you use to clean them? Most "wheel cleaners" are too acidic, cleaning them with regular car wash soap will not make the clearcoat peel.
