i need help with a d16y7 to d16y8 swap car runs but only revs to 2000 rpms and thats it,i used the y7 harness, would it be better if i use a y8 harness?

 

any CEL's probably is limp mode, check dizzy wiring.

 

well heres the deal my cuz let another one of cusins do a swap for him its a 96 ek hatch that had the original y7 and now has a y8 swap in it,my cuz calls me askin for help telling me it only revs to 2000 rpms doesnt not have any o2 sensors in there place and that the tps sensor is missing and the hole for the tps sensor is capped off,i was woundering if it would be better to use a complete y8 harness and put in a tps sensor and the missing o2 sensors? any help would be appriciated as far as CEL i believe the bulb was removed.

 

no the y8 harness i dont believe plugs up the the ECU then dude, you need to put everything on there man, the tps and o2 sensors you cant start a motor up with all those sensors missing and expect it to be good, man plug everything up right and what not then start it, til then dont be on here expecting answers.
