skunk2 pro s coilovers( any suggestions)
yo guys im new to the forum and posting all the way from south africa. im in the process of buying these coilovers but im not very clued up when it comes to suspension. i want something thats not going to be bouncy and shouldnt bang hard when hitting potholes, therefore it must give a soft drive. i also wanted to know you what it means when the coilovers arent adjustable? please dont convince me to take any other brand of coilover coz its just going to confuse me more. so let me know what you thoughts are on this setup. oh and im only going to use it for daily driving. id really apreciate the help........
the coilovers are fairly stiff and do not offer any type of adjustment.
i would look at other options like the pro c's instead if you want a skunk2 setup

what do u mean when you say its stiff and that its non adjustable. sorry for the dumb questions but in kinda new to this......
You can't change the DAMPING ability, or how hard/soft the car will take the corner, you can adjust the drop. I think you chose a fairly good coilover tho, because once you buy a coilover it's hard to buy a soft one, as they're aimed towards performance, except if you buy the high end ones, which will start running you towards the higher hundreds and into the thousands. I would go with the Pro-s's if I were you, especially if i wasn't interested in spending more then $600...
so are you saying that the only feature is the height adjustibility? does this setup come with the **** on top which allows you to turn it from hard to soft?
anyone else willing to share there thoughts coz id really like to buy this setup but just need a few more opinions..........

the skunk 2 pro s is non adjustable dampening just as stated earlier. It is a fairly good coilover suspension for the price, but yes it does ride on the stiff side.
the best suspension for the amount of $$$ your looking to spend, IMO would be skunk2 slip over coilovers (civic application, 8k/6k) with tokico illuminas. With this setup you get two choices of spring rates and quality adjustable shocks. I tell people this time and time again, this setup works pretty well and is the bang for the buck. If your looking for a stiffer setup then upgrade to the integra application which runs 10k/8k. This is the setup i'm running at the moment.
Stiff as hell. I went Koni/GC (430f 375r) because they were too annoying over imperfect roads. The performance was good, but I'd rather sacrifice performance than drive around feeling every small crack in the road. Instead of grabbing super high spring rates, upgrade your rear sway bar. Perfect for comfortable daily driving, but still a capable setup.
