Default H22 EM1 QUESTIONS PLEASE INFO NEEDED

WELL AS YOU GUYS ALL CAN SEE I AM NEW TO HONDA-TECH AND I WAS WONDERING IF IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO PUT A H22 INTO A 00 CIVIC I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF PROBLEMS WILL I RUN IN BECAUSE PEOPLE KEEP TELLING ME NEGATIVE OPINIONS SO I HAD TO COME TO THE BEST HONDA FORUMS AND ASK

HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

why are you typing in all caps?? and i personally wouldn't put an H series in an EK...i dont think its worth it, but thats just me

If the install is done right and is high quality work then don't expect too many issues. Get some good axles.

YEA I AM GETTING HASPORT AXLES WITH THE MOTOR I PURCHASED IT ON H-MOTOR ONLINE AND I PURCHASED HASPORT AXLES AND MOTOR MOUNTS

AND DO YOU GUYS THINK THERE WILL BE A DIFEERENCE CUZ I HAVE A 00 CIVIC SI AND THE STOCK B16 IS REALLY SLOW BUT YOU THINK IT WILL BE A BIG NOTICABLE DIFFERENCE

the biggest thing you'll probably notice is the extra tourque...and look at your keyboard, start at the top left corner, locate the esc button...the third button down from this is your caps lock...hit that button

like said before, the torque is the main difference. if your looking for 1/4 mile times, my friend in an em1 went from i/h/e b16 - 14.9 to i/e h22 - 14.1&lt;---reference purposes only. handling may also suffer but that comes from the swap's added weight

i have an H22 and my opinion is to set up your suspension to handel it. My car has out handel Subes and many crazy cars out there so the myth about not handling is not really true to mine . i got Itbs and its a beast. i used to have a b16a which i luv, but like the people here says for 1/4 is great.

if you already had the b16 swap i would have sold the b16 motor- bought an h22 motor and a QSD H2b kit. used b16 trans, same mounts and called it a day.

yea well i have a h22 civic and it handles akward but when you get the right suspension it really helps it out a lot but yea for 1/4 times its a good motor

i had it in different cars, but i sold the one with the b16. it had a type r 4.78 gears jun flywheel, type r cams everything you can think of bolt ons. I just wanted to try the H22. heheheheheh

on my civic i had teins, energy bushings all around, type r sway bars, grs brakes, stainless brake lines, aem brake pads, strut bars, rear lower bar, it handel really well.
