Well i thought that it was about time to get started on a build thread on here. I dont really post much but i should learn as much as i can before i start to really build/beef up the civic.


As She Sits.
Car: 2001 Honda Civic EX.
Color: Inca Pearl.
Engine: D17a2.

Mods: AEM Intake, Megan Header, RSR Exhaust, REVO Short Throw Shifter, Neuspeed Springs, Front Strut Bar, Rear Strut Bar.

Future Plans: K20 Swap, 16" Gold Gram Lights 57-s, Yellow Recaro Seats, Full Wire Tuck, "JDM" Fog Lights, Color Matching the Tow Hook to Gold, Function Full Coilovers, Type R Lip, Misc. Dents and Dings Pulled.

Nice! did you do shocks/struts, or just lowering springs?

 

that looks exactly like a car a dude i know traded for an eg hatch to someone in michigan. looks good.

 

Thats because it IS that car he traded a Champ White EG hatch for. haha. I bought it off the guy that traded him..


And as for the Shocks/Struts: they are just Neuspeed lowering springs. Going to Function Full Coilovers! w00t!

What lip kit is that? it looks kind of like an aero, but not at the same time. I like it especially with that color. and do you ever have any issues with that exhaust? it looks like its pretty damn close to the ground. it looks like any little bump and it'd scrape pretty hard.

 

The lip is a "type b" lip.

And yes the exhaust scrapes. Right now i KNOW i have a hole in my header or exhaust because i can hear it. But its all going to change when it gets to be spring. K20 FTW!

Yeah, im just trying to figure out how to get some fast cash for a swap and other things before July. I can already tell you im going to be down to the wire on finishing this car. haha.

Don't rush a swap or anything for that matter. It may lead to carelessness. Slow and steady.

Werd. But it looks like i might be selling my car soon. Im not 100% on it though.

 

I have decided that im not going to sell my car.
Instead im going to build this and then in the spring buy a CRX as well and do a total rebuild/restoration (and then some) on it.
Hopefully i will be getting a plant job that will allow me to do all this to the EM2 before IA08!
