Does anyone know how to get at the oil filter to do a oil change myself on an Si sedan. I got the car up and see it but how the hell do you get at it? Do I need to take the wheel off?? Any help would be great!

Takes more work this way but does make life easier... take off the passenger side wheel and turn the steering wheel all the way to the left. You can see the filter and what you are doing. Make sure the entire front is lifted, meaning both tires are off the ground.

Man....I finally got that bitch off......I swear a gorilla at Honda must have put it on....It was so tight.....(thats what she said)....so this is what I did....I jacked the pass side up and put a jack stand under the sway mount....took off the pass tire....turned the wheel to the right all the way so I could get my arm in there....then took my trusty spring filter tool and worked the filter for about 15 minutes.....after that it was pretty easy....I took pics and will post a DIY later in spring.....
Thanks for everyones input!

You should really use the proper jack stand points on your car. Don't make a DIY if it includes putting jack stands anywhere other than the proper points, because then you are just informing beginners, incorrectly.

Good point....I plan on doing a better DIY one in spring....it was 10 degrees out and I was doing a bit of trying not to freeze and get it done quickly.....a jack stand through the floor board is no fun...

Well...yea...that too...but I worry more about a kid dying trying to change his oil because he put his jack stand in an unsafe place.
