ok this is going to sound funny. i have a 1993 del sol si with crappy monza pacesetter exhaust. it drones and resonates on the highway and it is so annoying. i want to replace the muffler with a stock style aftermarket rear muffler assembly. the monza set is a cat back. i dont know what the diameter is of the mid pipe between the cat and the muffler, but i do know the flange connection appears to be in the same spot. i want to know if i can remove the muffler and bolt on a stock sounding muffler to the monza mid pipe. i dont want to replace the mid pipe because the one i have is in very good condition and is expensive. otherwise does anybody know where i can get a new or used catback stock exhaust for cheap? maybe someone can sell me one? i dunno if we are allowed to do that here. i just want the exhaust to be quiet so i can hear the radio on the highway or even talk to my wife in the car when driving at all.
