hey guys im currently in the process of a turbo build and obviously on a budget, the block is built 82mm,sleeved, etc..... my power goal is 600-650 , my ? is will it be ok/safe to use my Stock gsr valves w/ supertech valve springs and ret. or should i get supertech valves... what would be the benefit if i use the supertech valves...thanks

You could use the stock valves, valvesprings, etc, but at that power level, you'd be better off running an aftermarket valve train. What cams are you running?? If you're running something aggressive enough, you might not have a choice but to upgrade.

 

right know the plan is to use gsr cams, but i might invest in some itr's if i can find them.

he said he's gonna use aftermarket valvetrain..he was asking about the VALVES

are valves not part of the valvetrain? just an honest question not trying to argue...

 

still tring to get a straight answer...please anyone?

 

My suggestion would be a set of stainless valves. It's just smarter with the heat they will be seeing at 600whp...
