Default Cooling Fans

Wireing a toggle switch to operate cooling fans, spliced wires at fan switch at the back of the block. Trying to use a lighted toggle switch. Can get fans to run but no light on switch. Can get light on switch but fans want run. Its for a 91 CRX Si. I have installed a D16Y7 this motor has no provision to hook up fans.

Default Re: Cooling Fans (CRX-1991)

you are going to need a relay to get it to light up, the switch at the back of the block just grounds to turn the fans on, so on your switch you have 3 terminals, 2 should be + and one ground(made for switched +). you are switching the ground so you have 2 ground terminals one one + terminal. You will need the relay to switch the ground and then supply the needed + to the switch and relay.
