When i go on and off the gas in 2000 civic i feel jerking and poping noise?
Hello.
Here is my setup. 2000 civic ex manuel trans, Completly stock suspension.
energy suspension motor mounts. I recently swaped in my 94 B18c engine and I had this problem before i did the swap but now it seems more pronounced. When i go on and off the gas it feels like the motor moves alot and I hear a knocking or poping in the front of the car.
Anyone have this simaler problem?

No I kept all the same mounts. With polyurathane motor mount inserts. They work really good. Will this cause the noise im hearing?
For the chevelle
For the chevelle
is the noise like mechanical from the engine or is it more of a grind and hitting of something of the engine bay.. check your hood to see if the engine is hitting it, im pretty sure that you have a broken mount.

put a jack with a block of wood on it and put it under the engine's oil pan. jack up just enough to have the engine "sit" on it. then get a 17 mm deep i believe it is and take off the nut that connects the engine to the mount. its the middle one. then take off the 2 bolts that are holding the bracket to the engine. now what your looking for here is either the middle piece of the rubber is torn or if the mount its self has broken off where it bolts to the chassis.
next thing to do is check the rear mount. do you have the two 19 mm bolts that bolt in underneath the motor? it screws in from the drivers side to the passenger side into the transmission. that will cause excessive movement. another common symptom is shifter popping out of gears and such. for this mount problem. usually happens in 2nd gear

had a problem like this, ignored it for a while (lazy) but it got the point i had to ck it out. mine was coming from the passenger side. turned out to be the upper ball joint. the ball/stud was so worn and corroded it was "jiggling" in the cup. im lucky i caught it when i did and it didnt break on me, scary
