My sister's 94 Civic cluster lights, climate control lights clock dimmer work fine but when u turn on the lights at night or whenever they dont work. they only work when hitting the brakes which is weird. when u take ur foot off the brake the lights dont work but when u hit the brake they turn back on. the cluster works like normal but not the lights. i searched but didnt find anything. thanks in advance

how modded is the car. sounds like someone tried to hook up aftermarket gauges or something and butchered the wiring.

 

100% completely stock never modded, i bought it from the 1st owner who was in his mid - late 30's

 

check to make sure your brake lights are comeing on when you turn your lights on. my dash lights went off once, because my taillight fuse blew.

 

fixed it, one of the brake light bulbs was melting and causing a short.
