Default H&R Racing Springs

I currently have coilover on my 99 civic. I want to put on H&R springs on. I was wondering if I need to rent spring compressor( strut spring tool) to install the H&R springs on.
I know that the coilover can be taken off the car without the use of the spring tool.
Just need to know if the H & R springs can just fit in there. Thanks in advance

you will need a spring compressor to get the springs on the struts of the car. i assume that you have a full coilover system? i believe you need to do this for sleeve coilovers as well

I'm not 100% sure because I haven't done this in awhile.

But..

I don't think you need the compressor tool. That's only for taking springs OFF the struts that were installed on your car.

I had taken the coilover off without the compressor before for the installation of the kyb shock/strut.
But I'm just worry about the H&R spring installation.
Thanks for the inputs
Anybody else?

Now that I think about it, just put the H&R springs on your struts. Install everything and you're good to go.

No compressor needed.

IMO you should use it because you need to take the preload off of the upper and lower spring perches

EDIT: only if you are taking the sleeves off you. you don't HAVE to use them to put your springs on but then again i would just to be on the safe side

If it was stock springs, then I would.
But I have coilover, I just lower it down and take it off.
But for the new springs (H&R) is what? I need it or not?
Nobody exprience this?

if the struts u have now are the stock ones they are probably blown so theres no pressure at all u can just take the nut off it by yourself no spring compressor needed or anything

No, I have the agx kyb shock/strut on the coilover now.
I want to install the H&R racing spring on it.
Any problems with it? spring compressor wise?

nope u need nothing just loosen it up... i mean if u dont believe me and u feel unsafe by all means have somebody stand on the strut while you loosen the nut and point it towards an open area lol and very good choice on the h&r spring u while love it.. especially the ride height

If you feel uneasy about it just rent one at autozone for about $45.

It's free and if you do/dont use it, just return it for your money so, why not?

FYI I had to use a spring compressor for my friends H&R spring install onto stock shocks.
