Applying some silicone dielectric grease to the ends of the spark plugs and/or the wire connectors will help make future removal easier. As for the burn you mention, your description isn't clear. Is it on the outsides of the tubes on the wires, inside, in the spark plug bore, etc?

I'm going through the same thing. Looks like there's a gap between the plugs and the wire. The arcing is causing the rubber to melt. Mine isn't melted, but it's burnt pretty good. I've tried all the brands in stock from the auto retailers and still have the same issue. There's no "click" when I put the wires on, so it's just sitting on top on the plug. Heading over to Honda and buying their spark plugs and wire set. Hopefully, it works. I could try NGK wires and plugs, but since the wires are special order I wouldn't be able to return them. ...stay tuned!
