Default DPFI to MPFI to H22

I've just picked up a clean JDM DX and i'm looking into swapping my H22 motor into it. I'm confident about everything except the wiring.

Just converting to multi point injection confuses the hell out of me and wiring in the H22 makes it worse.

Would it be easier to convert to MPFI first for the D13 and then start a fresh and wire in the H22 or do it all at the same time?

Yeah i have an EG DX.

I kind of understand wiring up a H22 into a chassis that was already running MPFI. And i kind of understand doing an DPFI to MPFI conversion. But i'm unsure what the differences are when putting a H22 into a DPFI chassis?

If you have a EG DX then it is already MPFI

I'm pretty sure its DPFI.

Airbox ontop of IM, no injectors near head.

Its a D13b engine, and a Jap import if that makes a difference?

Ah ok, thats not what i wanted to hear lol.

Do you mean a complete interior or engine harness?

If you know of a link for the conversion that would be great. I can't find anything in the archives.

Will the stock fuel lines need changing out? I know the flexi line needs to be changed but not sure on the hard lines.

post up a picture of your engine bay...if the fuel filter is the same as every other eg then all you need is a fuel lin from the filter to the rail. for the harness...just from the ecu to the motor...its a 2 piece harness, it goes from the ecu up through the firewall and along the framerail, 3 connectors next to the strut, and then that section of the harness goes to the motor

I've just been down and tryed to take a pic but its pitch black out side, even under a street lamp i cant get a good pic. I can get one tomorrow though.

I had a quick look but i couldnt see the filter where i thought it should be. On the left hand side of the engine bay on the firewall?

No luck with photo today. Hopefully will get one tomorrow on my lunch break.

The H22 i will be using is coming out of my EG ESI. Since the engine harness has already been modified should it plug straight into the DX wiring?

take the wiring harness from that car that runs from the ecu to the motor from that car an put it in the new car. just swap whatever is needed from that car to the new car

Nice one! Things are looking good for the swap.

Now just need to work out what parts of the fuel system need to be changed. Hopefully it is just the flexi line going from the fuel filter to rail.
