I believe that is dave hickmans co., he doesn't have the best reputation on here. I have seen some impressive builds come from him, but have no first hand experience with him or his products.

do not trust him he is a scamer and if your friend got a motor built and its still running he got lucky most of the stuff that comes out of his shop is 100% junk. he will rip you off do a search for dh racing or dave hickman and you will see even his old roommate is a ht member who says he scams people and does crappy work and that guy used to back him up tell dave burned him. there are only two kinds of people that buy from dave the ones who got riped off and the ones who will get riped off. you have been warned deal with him at your own risk i doubt you will find anyone on honda tech that will back him

Dave hickman sells junk. do a search in the archives for DHR or Dave Hickman. and read. there are lots of posts about his junk....

Back in 99 I got a set of Jun3's, and was looking for someone to build me a nice allmotor build. Dave told me he lost power with them and to use ctr's. Im pretty sure he tested them in his turbo applications and not his N.A. setups. After hearing his style of building, I went with another shop. Yet i knew and even raced the kid with the allmotor 190hp stock block b16, with ctr cams, and DH head. I saw the dyno at Atomic, and the kid ran 14.1 at 100mph in a ef with a open diff and azenis spinning all first. With slicks the motor was good for a 13.5 with even a 2.0 60'. This kid was a budget racer that spent no more than a grand at DH and had great results for a basic setup. Not to say he's not a scammer, he still has proven work.

i was just wondering if his springs would hold up to a descent sized cam. my friends car stayed together. but hearing these comments makes me nervous.

its your money. if you want to gamble with a retainer letting go on you or a valve spring binding then go ahead... it didn't exactly state what the retainers are made of on the auction you linked to.. i'd spend a little bit more and get something better. you can get blueprint mfg valvetrain for a pretty good price. i've used it before with no problems.

"street" car.... yeah doubt it.. that thing was a race car with glass..... cut to ****.. aluminum panels everywhere the windows were probably held in with tape on those cut out doors.... and i never saw it run 11's...

i did however see it attempt a run down the track in palmdale and then sputter and spit its way to a 17 sec pass.... this is after some old man (daves dad??) in line was saying "oh you are looking at the winner of this class" SURE GUY!!!...

Car is rolling up windows so that would be glass. I looked at that car at sacramento race it was complete and uncut.

Even had back panels and a factory honda tape player in it. Maybe he took weight out of the car when you saw it

everytime you post something negative about DH racing, some unknown DH nutswinger with under 20 posts shows up to defend him touting his great achievements in racing.

I'm sure its relabeled parts from another company. You could probably save money by just buying directly from the source, but I would rather go with a company with a good reputation.

masterbuilder,

What have you built to make you a master. I have no idea who you are. Ever been in any magazines? Won any races? Video's of your cars? Timeslips?Pictures?

Nobody cares what you think.

So the great person DH is he sources springs versus designing them. 16.x coil bind and not too stiff?

What an idiot.
