i got a ? concerning my oil pan!!! help plzz!!
soo i took off my oil pan on my 98 prelude becuse the gasket was bad n it was leakin well i put new gasket on and every thing back on well one of the bolts decided 2 break half way in.. do you think ill b okay to drive on it and no leaks or am i gouna expletive the motor up?
I would not recommend it. For one it will probably ruin your gasket because there is not even tension across the entire gasket. And if it does end up leaking you are gonna have to replace it again in the future. So you may as well go ahead and fix the mistake now rather than later! Just drill it out and get a new bolt, or even all new bolts from Honda. They can't be that expensive, and then you have all new bolts and dont have to worry about breaking them. Just my $0.02
To break a bolt half way home, you must have had it cross threaded. Drilling it out is not a job for a novice. A shop may install a heli-coil after they drill out the broken bolt, if they can't retrieve what is left and re-tap the threads.

Use a self tapping screw 1.25'-1.5" #10 head. Tap it right into where your bolt piece is stuck using a high speed drill. Use a washer if the screw head slips through oil pan hole. Use liquid gasket (high heat res. stuff) on your oil pan gasket all around and your good to go. I would suggest self tapping (on slow) untill you can't get the screw in any furthur (head is right to oil pan) than back it out, add the washer in, and hand tight the screw back in with a touch of lock tight on the screw. They also have tapping bits with drill bit tips so you can drill and tap at same time. Try that if your in a pinch and than use an actual bolt to match thread. Use cutting oil when self tapping or drill/tapping.
Only do the above if you can't get the broken bolt out of your block (last resort if your sh*t up the creek without a paddle)

Its leaking under your vtec solinoid? So if your looking at your dizzy, and move your glance to furthur towards your firewall, under your v-tec solinoid, its leaking? (probably pretty much leaking onto your left intake runner?)
Mine was leaking from the cap that is behind the v-tec solinoid (in a non-vtec prelude) (big black round cap)
