Default General question about Defroster output

For compustar alarms, what exactly happens when you connect the defrost wire? in other words when/how does it function? during remote start?

just trying to decide whether i want to connect to defrost button to defrost wire on alarm or.. accesory wire. i'd like for it to work during remote start but possibly have the option to turn this feature off it of when not needed which isn't possible if connected to accesory, so what exactly happens when you connect the defrost wire? in other words when/how does it function? during remote start?

thanks

Need model # of Compustar "alarm", assuming you mean alarm/remote start combo unit.

Why not just use an AUX output and trigger the defrost after remotely starting the car if it needs it? 94

I usually hook up an AUX, then you can turn it on after the car started. You don't need that feature on at all times when the car is started.

well.. i can.. but i'm just wondering what would happend if i was to use the defroster button output since i have it.. manual doesn't quite describe anything except that you can program an output to be defroster

this is cm400 pro2wss or pro2w900fm, and its remote starter alarm combo
