What to do.... What to do....?
well... this is just a hypothetical question... but when i can't fall asleep at night this is what I think about
I like my 01 ITR just fine, but say that i saved up around $3-$4k what would I do?
the way i see it, I could buy a turbo kit - put it on, and have a car that is a little bit faster with potential to go even faster with tuning/upgraded parts in the future.
But... alot of people seem to hate on turboing the ITR, and i understand their reasons... but how much money and what would it take to gain the same amount of power from a turbo and still stay NA?
Now i didn't say that I'm going to go and turbo my car, or go and buy any parts for that matter.... this is just something in my head that needs some input from other people

Well with 3k your car can be real FUN not especially FAST but FUN
If I had to do my all motor setup again I'd do it this way
Toda a's or skunk2 stage 1's
thinner headgasket
flat valves
stock itr valvetrain
ats final drive
comptech flywheel
act clutch
p28 w/hondata and lots of tuning
reliable STREET performance that is damn fun also
oh forgot to add dc jdm 4-1 or other header
apexi n1 catback

To answer this question, it is NOT going to be possible get the same amount of power from a turbo and stay NA.

Leave it stock. Go to every single HPDE / track day / driving school that you can. Spend the rest on tires and brakes.
Have you paid off your car yet? If not, put your money into that.
If you have $4K saved up and you spend it all on a turbo kit. What happens when you F*%$&@# up your motor? Exactly, save some money for rainy ITR day.

I would take that $4,000 and slowly buy all of the parts you need for your all motor or turbo setup, and not install anything, until you have ALL of the parts you need. good luck.

this is just a hypothetical question...
Also, someone mentioned a new finial gear. Whats that drop your top end speed down to?
for the same amount of money, turbo makes much more power for "sure", but it might not be faster http://www.c-speedracing.com/integra.html c speed they have a turbo teg with 293 hp, and ran 13.14 with street tire, but another all motor teg with 210 hp ran 13.44. As u can see, they have big different with the power, but not big different with the speed.

turbo is not bad for the ITR.
people complain about turbos on ITR for various reasons.
However if done right, can be very reliable...as reliable as a 12 second NA car.
most people can not stomach the extra hassles a turbo presents however and end up cutting corners, which is why you hear of blown motors.
