leaking oil

Default leaking oil

I am leaking oil bad. came on here and did some research and everyone is saying what it might be if it is leaking on the tranny side. i am leaking on the pully side i took the timing comver off and it appears to be coming from inbetween the hean and block. any ideas.

it has a new valve cover gasket

and its leakin almost 1/2 a quart a minute

Sounds like it may be head gasket fromw hat you have described. How many miles on the motor?

i just bought the motor off of craigslist he said it had around 150xxx on it but i replaced the head gasket. but will have to wait for tomorrow to go buy more oil and find out. any other possibilties
???

I would have to go with head gasket as well. just for fun check the valve cover gasket. hard to say without seeing it.

well we will see tomorrow if the head gasket i put on worked or not....

let me know if anyone has any idea that are different then the head gasket

I herrrrd that. I know it sucks when u just want your shyt to run correct. Sucks to pull the head back off but i think thats the prob. have you gave a realllly good look to make sure its commin from there?

ya its definatly coming from there i thought it might have been the front main seal but its deff higher then that and i saw it spiting from under the head

and todays newbie award goes to....................ME it was the cam seal...i guess thats what i get for checking the cam seal at 9 at night in the dark but fixed that just to find out i have a expletiveed up intake manifold gasket and am leaking coolant YAY
