We'll i never have done a real project build so i decided to start one. i bought this car about 7 months ago bone stock w/ 206300 miles. it was loaded with dings, dents, and scratches etc. some fat lady in a mini van(go figure) pulled out in front of me on my way to work one morning. I work at a shop as and assit. manager so i was like sweet cut me a check $2900 here are the results.

oem parts:
hood,
front bumper,
drivers side fender,
all new moulding clips/retainers
and OEM fogs not installed yet...

Egay parts
Type r knock off headlights
and 8k Hid's

this 1/4 was ruff!


so was this one no rust though


black roof. i used the oem code but added copper metallic instead of blue


dirty picture same day i finished assembly


another dirty picture


finally instakked some stainless hex head bolts thru out the engine bay


got a stainless clutch line in attempt to clean up the bays apperance


and yet a few other pieces to clean up the bay, say la ves to that ugle *** fuel filter


some call me a ricer i think it looks clean as sin

Don't like the color but,nice work.

 

the color usually has to grow on people. that and a shitty camerea doesnt help.

plans are to go with 16" drag wheels
k sport lower control arms, torn between teh tein basics or k-sprt coilovers
install oem fogs with yellow Hid's and re-tint the windows. thanks joe

The pics most likely doesn't do justice for the color.

It just seems too bright for my taste, but I believe in the sun it will be a totally different story.

WOW guys thanks for for teh compliments. i agree teh color is not for all to like. I LOVE being different and honestly i have never seen a EM1 in this color. i will for sure keep it updated. thanks again joe

 

post up what you guys think about painting the fog light bezels? they are OEM Honda so the bezel is currently the light gunmetal color. should i leave it that color or paint them to match the color of the car???? post up your opinions... thanks joe

yes its the color from 04+ 350z code is A12. i poured my heart into the quality of this cars paint. i had my best bodyman here do all the body work so that really shows now. no i didnt take any before pictures. 206k and this mother runs let me tell ya. all the maintence is always done before its due so. when she blows itll get R's hearts

any word on upgrades to the engine? or are you keeping the b16 as is?

 

really shouldn't have painted the roof. the black roof craze is retarded. looks good though, thats gotta be the highest mileage EM1 I've ever seen!

im gonna ditch the cruise control and possibly the power steering to clean the bay up. plan to get a vibrant header and omni test pipe with a OEM exhaust. if i remove the 2 items im going to do a wire tuck. when the b16 goes i will throw a typeR long block and squirt the bay too.

 

my roof isnt strait black it looks sick in person. im gonna try to get a better picture to show the copper metallic.

x2. And the bay too, for $2900 and a shop to kick the car around in, i would of painted it all. And maybe new mirrors, because i hate EJ's floppy *** dumbo mirrors. Color is great, but your plans are nothing that a 16 yr kid on a Mcdonalds income couldn't afford. no offense intended.

to your comment i took no offense. but you obviously have no clue what it takes time or cost wise to repair an car, also my plans are simple this is a daily driver that is driven 100+ miles a day. and as far as teh 16yr old comment. i am a father of 2 have my own house, 2 new cars. my life doesnt revolve around my hobbies. thanks for the compliments. i hate the mirrors but havent found any i like so these will do
