My Si wont start

Default My Si wont start

Ok guess here the deal i HAve a 91 si with a sohc an u throw on a trbo kit i had too put the battery in the back then the promblem im having is it wont start with the key if i take the wire that gose too the started then if i put a lose wire in there then tap it too the postive the car with start wat canit beee there enought ground on the motor i have 4 of them

WHAT?

Did you use large enough battery cables? Did you take the ground off the engine/trans? Im not really sure I understand.

I'm from Texas..Allow me to interpret..

He has got a madd-tyte JDM Si sohc with a turbo..
The battery was re-located to the back of the car and
now the damn thing won't start..

Beats all he ever did see..


If you are having to "jump" a positive wire to the starter,
then the ground is not the problem..

I would suspect the inhibitor switch that is attached to the clutch pedal
is the most likely cause..

noo the car starts just not withthe dam key if u goo too the dam engine bay an if u look too see were the starter is there is a signal wire if u remove that wire an put one end of a wire there an jump it too the batttery it will start with out it it dosent

Then the problem is in the starter signal circuit...

This ^^ is correct..follow the diagram and you should find your problem.

Anyway, the answer is your neutral safety switch or 'inhibitor switch'
