Fully Building a LS for Turbo.......ANY HELP???

Default Fully Building a LS for Turbo.......ANY HELP???

I have a 95 Integra LS and I'm going to buy another B18B1 to work on while I drive the car back and fourth to where ever that way I dont have to worry about being without a car for a while. Well to get straight to it want to bore it out to an 84mm instead of buying a b20 because the LS cylinder walls are stronger than the b20 even after sleeving it. My mods list that I have lined up for this build is eagle rods, j.e. or wiseco pistons, sleeves(idk which yet), with the stock crank. I need to know if anyone knows a good company to purchase springs, retainers, and cams from for a LS. I know crower is out there but I've also been reading and hearing that the Crower Camshafts have been snapping in higher rpms? My power goal is to get about 400whp....the last thing I will be doing in Turbo


All info to help with my build good or bad would be greatly appreciated....THANKS

since your going that far with the build just buy a vtec head.

any idea of what turbo your going to be using for the setup?

i didnt know asleeved b18b is stronger than a sleeved b20

Naw I wanna keep it fully non-vtec then wax on the streets without it haha.....but yeah man I'mm looking at the Garrett GT30R it's rated at about the hp I'm looking for.

sweet thanks bro and if you could send me the link to that thread that'd be awesome......and yeah the b20 cylinder walls are weaker even after sleeving them it's been reported that the sleeves are shifting on dyno's. The LS cylinder walls are are already stronger than ever even without having a close deck block so by boring it out you get the torque and power of the B20 but the block strength of the LS which= high boost safetly all day witht the right tune and build that is.

ok, im sure you can convince someone that a sleeved b20 is weaker than a sleeved ls. I dont know who is telling you that sleeves shift, yes they do if they are installed incorectly. b20 blocks sleeved are just as strong as ls blocks.

i guess you have expierence in sleeving both blocks, or are you just stating what youve read?

btw. there are some company's that won't even sleeve a b20 block... there is a reason for that

Unnecessary for your power goals...you could save yourself $500 and get a 57 trim and make 400whp just the same. If you're set on getting a GT30r, look at the BW S256/S258 lineup as well...a little contrast never hurt

Honestly what good company out there wont sleeve a b20 block?? As far as I know all the good companys, aebs, benson, golden eagle all sleeve b20 blocks... I personally run a aebs sleeved b20 and have no problems at all....

yeah I've also consider the Garrett GT28RS aka Disco Potato. Yeah and thanks for the other options I'll look into those. To everyone else NO I personally do not have personal experience with sleeving a B20 only research but if I remember correctly a little research never hurt and yeah neither has some good "hands on". I do however know someone who has a sleeved B20 and has said that the cylinder walls are weaker. So I was only stating what I know so don't get all upset over something so similar because at the end of the day your gonna keep your B20 sleeved and I my LS. Other than fighting over something that's not on topic, can someone PLEASE answer my original question of do anyone know any company for parts etc.......thanks you!!!
