Default Prelude S cat on an Si?

So i just received a cat in the mail from a friend parting out an S (f22) and i have an h23. I bought an oem replacement intermediate pipe that fits well into my stock muffler.

Problem. The cat doesn't really fit to the intermediate pipe. Does this mean that the cat i received (mne 330 on honda dealer site) is significantly different from the one listed for the si (mne 340)? Or maybe this is an issue with me getting the wrong intermediate pipe (made by bosal, purchased through autohaus).

Going further, the honda dealer site says that the vtec exhaust components have different codes as well, as well as the f22 exhausts on accords 1994-1995, different from even the 1992-1993 accords with the same engine.

Does this mean that all these f22, h23 and h22 stock exhaust parts are all exclusive and incompatible?

happy valentines day fellas.
