Exedy Vs. ACT
First of all, I did a search and couldn't find what I was looking for. I want to know from people who have experiece with them (preferably both) which clutch is better. By better, I mean which clutch am I going to get the most out of? I am not really to hard on my car...meaning the occational race here and there. Mostly its a daily driver that I'm building up for right now. ~it will turn into a track car a little later~......but that will be a new clutch when that happens.
Okay, you're a lucky man... lol... I just pulled apart two motor and tranny combos.... One was a ACT with hard street driving, the other was an Exedy with Hard street driving, and numerous track events... Both had comparable mileage... The Exedy looked practically brand new. The ACT's clutch disc was coming apart. The rivets were loose, letting the material slide back and forth. It still grabbed fine when the motor came out of the car, but I can imagine what would've happened in another 1-2 thousand miles.... My vote: Exedy, hands down...

I have the ACT Stage 2.
Its the double diafram one. I love it soo freakin much. I engages so hard and so sweet. It sure did build up my left leg muscle.
I don't know much about the exedy but have heard good things.
Good luck on your choice.

Exedy all the way. Unless your engine is producing a huge amount of torque, exedy will take anything you throw at it. Very smooth engaugement and soft pedal. I don't know why people love a stiff pedal.
i haven't had a act but i used to have a exedy....and it never grabbed as hard as my cm stage 3.....but i don't know exactly waht the exedy was seeing as it came with my swap....it did last alot of abuse....but it didn't like it when i started shooting on it......
