on the amp... 1-2 rca connections goes from amp to the back of ur deck... another skinny blue from amp goes to the deck as well... i believe that is the "remote" wire. black gauge wire is "ground". and the red goes from the amp to the battery but somewhere there should be a fuse on that red wire. The other two wires should go to the sub.
Yea there is a little fuse box or something on that wire but is it suppose to be frayedlike that? I never hooked up a amp before and best buy wantys 70 dollars if anyone is in the pittsburgharea hit me up.

be careful on doing it yourself, im a voly fireman and i recently went to a car fire that started because the kid wired his speakers wrong. the worst part is it was a brand new mercades. but good luck with yours

that red wire usually has an inline fuse that end goes from the battery to the back of your car. The rca wires goes from your deck to the back of the car along with the remote(ant/amp turn on) wire usually blue in color. the remote wire is tapped from the deck's ant turn on/remote.
in the back(trunk) the power wire(red) goes to POS+ terminal on the amp. a short ground preferably 2-3 inches and equal in gauge to the power is grounded through the chassis vie bolt in the trunk to NEG- terminal on the amp. the RCA wires are plugged into the input RCA's on the amp. then the sub is wired positive to ch1 positive and negative to ch1 negative... unless you can bridge your sub for more power a bridgeable amp with at least 2ch would be needed.
make sure you have the correct gauge for the amount of amps your amplifier is putting out and correct fuses. fires could start from over amperage.
