yea well...got a fix it ticket which states...MODIFIED EXHAUST TO MAKE MORE NOISE
....its a 2.25" piping no resonantor...and has a apexi n1 muffler slapped on to it

DO U THINK ADDING A 22" RESONATOR WOULD BE FINE???
or should i take off the muffler

i dont want the reff to think i didnt do anything to change the exhaust since he will see the it angled but all i will do is add a resonator...what do u think i should do?????? thanx!!!

put ur stock exhaust back on get it checked out then throw ur aftermarket exhaust back on after

 

problem is...stock piping got jacked...dont ask y..lol

 

Is the ticket to see the ref or just a noise pollution ticket? Just because you got a ticket for exhaust doesn't mean your going to see the ref. The last time I got a exhaust ticket I just took it to a muffler shop and had a decibel (i think thats how you spell it) reading done and took that in on my ticket date. $10 bucks and it was done.

then put a friggin resonator on it and/or a quieter muffler . Not too hard to figure out

 

so then the chp should do a decibel test and if it passes would he sign it off to a correctable???

does it say anywhere on the ticket that an officer is not allowed to write it off? Most likely it'll be written on the back of the ticket. If it doesn't take it to a chp after u get it quieter.

 

If you say its not correctable, then i think you just pay the fine.

 

why the hell are you asking us??? ask whoever you have to prove that you did it. how are we supposed to know what they want? i dont understand why people come here to ask a question when there is a more logical and reliable source of info. your not goin to get a good answer here unless the cop that have you the ticket is an h-t member and comes across this thread.

The officer only told us to start the car and rev. this was not at a ref station just at city court. ticket was simply written off. went upstairs and paid like a 10 dollar fine. that was it really...

LOL! he's right though we don't know what the ticket says and what exctly you need to do. ask the court house or a ticket lawyer.

 

o i c...so because i was thinking on adding a silencer...22" resonator.that should do i believe....so if i tell the CHP that the cop didnt test or take any pictures of the exahust...and i can prove that the decibels is lower than 95 or w/e...i should be able to pass with the 10 dollar fine...right?...
i just dont got 200 bucks...i just payed my universiity paymet and im dead broke

you're crazy man, 200 bucks in court hahahaha. man just put on your stock muffler. fix it tickets are only 10 bucks the last time i got one. the expensive part is buying the part to replace what you got the ticket for. i got the fix it ticket 4 years ago for a cracked wind shield. cost 3 bills to get that fixed. muffler easy, just go to a muffler shop and put on a stock muffler, take it to the CHP or Police department and have them check the noise. they'll check it off then you can go to the court house show them the check off and pay them 10 bucks. pretty easy huh.

i've been running a flowmaster 40 series muffler on my civic
looks super stock with no resonator yes its loud..
never got a ticket he was prolly just tryna ride you for having a crooked aftermarket exhaust

 

Apex N1 w/o a resonator? I'd pull your butt over too, why the hell would you want/have such a nasty sounding setup?

damn 200 that sucks. i gotten like 3 tickets for my exhaust already. i just pay them off because i dont want to take off the muffler. but what i did was make my car look more stock and also i painted the muffler and the piping flat black and now the police barely even glance at my car any more. i love it but i do miss my old rims though
