I am thinking about getting a set of some Innovative 95a urethane bushings for my turbo build this summer. I know they will be stiff as hell and vibrate like crazy, but i was wondering if anyone else has tried them?



My main concern was that they would be so stiff that it would, over time, damage the car.

I've always wondered the same thing about it damaging the car. Couldn't you re-enforce the mounting points on the passenger and drivers side if it was an issue?

I guess I could, but if it's not necessary, I'd rather not.

 

Well, now I'm debating between 85A and 95A.

I plan on making 300-310 hp and about 260-270 ft lbs of torque.

Has anyone used the 85A and is so, did they sufficiently hold the engine and kill wheelhop?

 

I have all 3 85A innovative mounts along with the solid torque mounts by avid and that car vibrates the **** out of me. Its very very annoying and makes literally the entire car vibrate and rattle. Luckily i really only drive the car at the track. If I remember correctly they told me 95A was solid and the 85A was right under it. If this is a daily i'd probably go with the 75A. Just my .02

 

i just installed some 95a inserts (air hammer out factory mount, press in new rubber), for my talon, all 4 mounts.

on my crx, i ran SOLID mounts, not solid urethane, solid steel plate, it vibrated alot.. but i don't mind it, the trade-off for some vibration was worth it.

Im hoping the talon wont be AS bad.. but it should still shake quite a bit.

 

But how does it perform? Was 85A enough to stop engine movement/wheelhop?

 

i had completely solid mounts in my car for about 3 months...never encountered a problem. i have read some people have had random here and there problems. but i never did, my car didnt wheelhop either. just spun. i now have the drag urethane hasports and the only difference between the two is that i can actually see things in my rear view mirror

 

I have their 85A mounts and it's pretty stiff and that is enough to hold my engine completely still at 484whp/313wtq

Do you have all four or just three?

 

the stiffer the better.. dont be puss.

 

i have the innovative race mounts 85A and avid torque mounts and the motor doesnt move at all. I really dont mind the vibrating, but thats just me. Im sure there would be no wheel hop if i had better suspension. suspension plays a major wheel when it comes to trying to eliminate wheel hop! but to answer your question they will help!

95a both sides and rear and both avid front torque mounts. a little vibration doesnt bother me because it just makes the car and shifting so much better.

i have one. my car is a street car. and the cd player has never skipped.

IMO, the way Innovative makes their mounts, they vibrate less then most.
