Default Once I Drop My JDM K20A-R.........

can anyone tell me how difficult it will be to find aftermarket performance parts? this is still a bit unclear to me...

lets say i want to install cai/headers/cat back exhaust...

do i have to find cai/headers specifically for a JDM k20a-r?? or are they the same fitment as a usdm rsx-s?? i know the cat back will depend on the header...

same goes for internals, like cams, valves, springs, etc...
when i look for these parts, must they SPECIFICALLY be for a JDM k20? or can i buy aftermarket parts for the USDM K20 and throw them on the JDM motor?

Hope Im being clear, thanks in advance for the help...

Not hard to find parts at all... Pretty much all K-series engines are identical... You just have to know where to look.

K20A2 parts will work on your K20A.... goto http://www.k20a.org and educate yourself before jumping into it.

You can get more power out of a K20A2 for less money than you would spending it on a K20A.

Not really, it's nearly indistinguishable from a K20A2, visually. You just pay for the self-knowledge of it being a K20A, I guess.

15k isnt that much to start investing in a house... just FYI. Even for a 200k house, your still going to have to look at taxes, make sure everything passes inspection, insurance, mortgage payments, and if your community has a community fee, that too. Theres alot more to buying a house than meets the eye.

research unless you want to throw your hard earned money on crap. we're not going to do the hard work for you.

for 15g i'd build a turbo k24 frank. hmm, 400-500whp, easy.

you get that JDM red valve cover

with price being a factor the k20a is really expensive compared to a k20a2 however you do get a tighter transmission, 4.7 final drive with LSD and a slightly higher hp and compression motor.

if you are going to circuit the car then the k20a is a great powerplant to have out of the box.

work...school...hmmm...
and you cant just stick with the EM2 as it is...?

but i guess if you want to race...just be sure you take it to a track...
dont cause any accidents on public roads. The swap would be a good candidate for track days.

agreed. racing is for the track...not the streets.

Keep innocent motorists alive, take it to the track

lol gee, give the guy some slack. He's got more money then me. Although I agree on most forms of street racing is bad...but when people **** me off, i **** them off back. If you got the money, do the swap. It's all you need for daily driver, no need to buy mods for it.
