Situation: Drove over some fairly large/deep (in my opinion) potholes today… My normal route was detoured.

seems to be running fine. All tires still have air, wheels did not bend, etc… No fluids leaking out of shock(s) body YET. Any other symptoms of a blown damper I should be looking for? Car was riding worse than a boat over that road. By the way, I kept my bump stops in at all 4 corners. I could not remove them even if i wanted to. Thanks again~!

 

If the dampers aren't leaking and the car seems to be riding okay as before with no excessive oscillation, it's probably fine.

 

i am going to lift my car on the weekend to thoroughly check. the bump stops are made of some high quality rubber and are about 2 inches in length.
