Default wrong clutch?

ok my friend gave me an oem clutch he had in his 91 hatch for about a mounth (d15b2)..then i put it in my 92 civic hatch (d15b7) and one was cable trans and mine is hydrolic..so the clutch is really soft and slipping if i get on it and it catches way at the top..was it the wrong clutch i put in?

thanks in advance!

you can adjust the height at which it catches. There is a bolt that you undo on the master cylinder rod and you can adjust how much the piston will move. Check that out.
