which conection rods
alright so im buying new rods for my b16 i just bought new p30pistons, do i have to use the stock rods or can i use aftermarket rods from say eagle, the reason i ask is because i dont have any stock rods to use other wise i would use for them. but im on a budget so yea. thanks
You can use aftermarket or stock, doesn't matter much aside from the obvious expenses. Aftermarket rods for that engine are going to be in the $350 - $400/set range.
see i want to go with just stock rods and get them shot peened and what not but i cant come up with any, so thats whay i just decieded on maybe using aftermarket. if you know anyone who is selling some let me know. thanks
You're probably not looking hard enough for stock rods.
Tons of people build their B series engines for N/A or boost and end up with stock parts lying around.
Get stock ones because they're cheaper, and you won't need machine work to stock pistons to get them to work.
I guess there's en echo in here since this has already been said.
