Default switching backup battery siren to normal help?!?

so my backup battery siren tweaked because of some water and the company that installed it will not replace it so for now i was wondering if i could hook up a regular siren with the wires that were used to run the back up battery siren since they are already there? the back up battery siren has 3 wires and the regular has 2. ij ust want to make sure i will not short circuit anything.
thanks

I think the battery back up has a ground, siren lead from alarm, and battery constant.

I know the regular siren has a ground, and siren lead.

Just match the grounds, and the siren leads together.. then trace the +12v line to the battery and disconnect it.
