Default rpm going crazy and car is misfiring???? HELP

ok i already search and have done what has helped other people with the same kind of problem!!

my rpm is going crazy and my car starts to misfire or starts bogging and so the other day my car just completely died and would not start back up. SO I replaced the coil inside the dizzy and it started right up and then about 2 days later it starts to do the same thing so I changed out the ignition control module 2day and it still does the same thing!!! I already spent $175 for both parts and am now frustrated and dont know what to do next. The car is a 95 gsr with a built ls vtec motor.

any ideas???

thanks

-Dan

its a new cap!!! well here are some things that I am going to check tomorrow: i was told to check the ground, also my fuse but I figure if this were the case it prolly would not start but ill check anyways. also the plugs are new but I am going to check the plugs and wires as well

well if anyone has any other ideas please feel free to add them. I was also wondering if it could be the rotor in the dizzy

If the tach is going nuts, along with an ignition miss, first thing I'd check is the blk/yel power wire to the distributor. By any chance were the distributor wires hacked?

look at the wiring diagram, the rpm signal wire comes off the ignitor i believe.

could be the accual sensors in the distributer going bad.. just buy a new one or steal the parts from a known working one. all the parts in the distibuters obd1-2 d and b series have the same insides and are interchangable

check all the wires for the injectors, one of mine cracked-ripped and this is what it was doing.. sometimes it started, ran good, other times it didnt start at all

well here is an update to who ever might have the same problem as me, I ended up just changing out the dizzy I purchaced a new one and it seemed to fix the problem. I even bought new plugs but have not put them in yet so it seems like just swithching the entire dizzy helped.
